Our process

  • The conceptual design process is an essential part of every project. This is the stage where we work closely with our clients to etablish the vision and ideas that will shape their project. We investigate the project’s location, context, constraints, and opportunities to create creative concepts.

  • During this phase, our team collaborates with our clients to explore different design options that satisfy their design requirements. We listen to our clients and utilize their feedback to develop various design options. This is the perfect opportunity for the client and architect to discuss the pros and cons of each design option. At the end of this phase, the design will be narrowed down to the most suitable one in order to move on to the next phase.

  • During this phase, the design concept if further refined and developed with more detail. At this stage the client is able to discuss any neccessary revisions to make sure the design is compatible with the clients needs. Once all the necessary modifications are complete and the drawings are finalized, the project will move on to the Permitting Phase

  • Each jurisdiction, whether it be a town, city, county or state, has its own set of rules and regulations to govern the design and construction of any project. These regulations ensure that buildings and structures are safe, suitable for their intended use, and meet the specific standards that will safeguard the community. At Heber Munoz Architecture, we understand the importance of following these regulations during the design process. Our team will conduct thorough research to understand the local codes and other legal requirements applicable to the project.

  • This phase involves creating detailed drawings and specification based on the design development phase. The construction documents serve as a roadmap for the construction team and should accurately convey all necessary information. This includes, dimensions, materials, finishes, and details about structural components. Throughout this phase, architects and engineers carefully review and refine the construction documents to ensure they meet all necessary building codes and regulations. It is crucial to have accurate and complete construction documents to avoid costly mistakes during construction.

  • Overseeing a construction project involves regular meetings with the contractor and owner on-site. In a typical week, only a couple of hours is spent on these meetings, ensuring that the construction work is proceeding according to plan. However, sometimes unexpected issues may arise that require additional attention. In these situation, more time is needed in order to resolve the issue. Heber Munoz Architecture is fully commited and prepared to dedicate time and resources to ensure the success of any given construction project.
